Hello Crit Group B!
For the first round of feedback it is best if you re-familiarize yourselves with my website/blog:
http://www.robynthomas-explorations.com I did ‘archive’ the first year, and it is still accessible on the top bar drop down menu, but not on the home page menu. If you have any questions about last year’s work and how it relates to this year’s ideas please feel free to explore the archive and ask any questions...this year’s project is a continuation of the exploration ‘process’.
I have made changes and updates to the website since Berlin. I removed the password, making the site more accessible, at least on that entry level. I did this to foster a greater feeling of openness and transparency and because I link to my explorations site on my professional website, which I also updated, and no longer wanted the extra step of the password. Feel free to check out the professional website too, ART Robyn Thomas. It includes photos of an exhibit I had this past June at an alternative space in Providence, Rhode Island. While that work, Fractal Edge, was not directly a part of last year’s project, it was very much related to the ideas I was exploring in the studio for my first year project. I also did discuss the work for that exhibit at various times with my studio advisor [Laura Gonzalez], and think it might be helpful to see how ideas and approaches I had been working with in relation to the TI project work were transposed into other areas of my professional practice.

Please read through that post and follow the links in order to get an idea of what I have been up to in the studio these past six months [May 15-Oct 15].
It has been 10 days since I did the monthly post, so I decided to post in both the Painting Studies Process and the Photographic Paintings Studies Process galleries what I have been exploring in the studio since then, ie. mainly this week. Please take a look at both of these galleries in their entirety, paying closer attention to the recent developments. Info in the side bar will let you know which image starts the new post.
A brief note to the image configuration: it is for an uninterrupted scroll...which means the text is close by, but not together with the images. This allows you to just scroll through the images...even if the scaling prohibits a full view of a particular image at a single time...without focusing on the text. Instead it becomes about deciphering the relationship that developes between the images as the project progresses.

Now to the feedback/question: general feedback and questions which arise for you when you look at the site and info posted on it are always welcome.
My one question in particular is related to some thoughts I am having for the project’s development, but am not yet ready to write or talk about just yet...more on this next time around.
The question is: What are your thoughts or opinions on work produced under a pseudonym and/or unclear authorship? Can self portraits be produced under these conditions? At which point would a work produced under these conditions no longer be valid as a ‘self portrait’?
[yes, I realize that was three questions…]
