This is the continuation of what Petra and I were working on in May.

The mixed media work was mounted on 8 inch x 10 inch canvas board panels using acrylic matter medium. A brushstroke texture was left visible. The paper was taped off and then Franzi applied his layers of thin blue acrylic paint, rapidly drying each layer with a hairdryer. The next day the tape was peeled away to reveal both the hard edge and the thin, feathery blue that had seeped through the tape and collected in the wells of matte medium brushstrokes.
