The following images are from three sketchbooks which I worked in between August 2014 and May 2015.
The images are ordered from most recent [May 2015] to oldest [August 2014].
Images 1 thru 42 are details of sketchbook pages consisting of 4 inch x 6 inch/ 10.16 cm x 15.24 cm inkjet prints on glossy photo paper of the digital photo series Twinning. These images are contained in two sketchbooks and were worked on between mid-April and mid- May 2015.
Some of the pages are the same photo, printed twice, flipped and ‘collaged’ together. Some are single prints of a photo left otherwise untouched. Some of the photos have been drawn on with various sized pens. When photographing the pages I used the reflection of the sun on the glossy surface to create sunspots, white holes in the image. I also used reflection in a few of the photos to highlight the impression made from a drawing made on a previous page on the glossy photo paper. In posting the photos of the sketchbook pages I not only cropped the image, but also flipped all the images to the horizontal position.
Images 43 thru 86 are contained in a single spiral bound artist sketchbook 9 inches x 12 inches/ 23 cm x 30 cm and were completed between August 2014 and March 2015. In posting the photos of the sketchbook pages to this gallery the images were cropped and flipped into the horizontal position.
